With 3D movies at the cinema and 3D televisions, the use of 3D technologie on the web seems inevitable. With the arrival of the new BMW X3 you can see a 3D video on their the website. The technology is not fully accessible to the population, because not everyone has the famous glasses! The web is an evolving medium and is focused on the customer experience, we expect to see such videos more and more!

19-1-2011Redmine system installed!
One of our resolutions for 2011 was to further improve the structure and organization of the company.
To manage all the projects we are now using the system Redmine : an open source program running on Ruby.
This program allows us to plan the time for programming and design as well as a better management of bugs that we find during the quality insurance step of the production.
Thank to Math and his patience that installed the system and several interesting plugins.
09-1-2011A new domain for the english version of our site.
To improve the ranking in search engines for the new english version of the Delaplace Design's website, we have chosen to reserve a new domain name for this language: www.delaplacewebdesign.com
In some cases, building a website for several regions and languages may be difficult, because by creating multiple versions of the site in different languages you have to provide the content in each language for each page and you end up multiplying the number of URLs. Luckily the cms used to design the site Delaplace Design provides the best infrastructure to support and fill the site.

It's not mandatory to reserve a different domain name for the second version of the site, but it simplifies the task for search engines because it becomes now 2 different sites for robots used to index the pages. Other options available to you to split content of each language is : differents subdomains (en.exemple.com, and fr.exemple.com es.exemple.com) or different directories (exemple.com / com /, exemple.com / en / and exemple.com / es /).
